The Virgin Islands Board of Education (“VIBE”) is an independent government agency comprised of nine (9) elected members, (“Board” with each member serving a four (4) year term. The Board’s powers, duties, and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with 17 V.I.C. Chapter 3.
The VIBE provides financial aid for Virgin Islands students, certification for teachers and other education professionals, and governs the education standards and policies of the Virgin Islands’ public education system.
