Virgin Islands Board of Education to Host 2026 Community Town Hall Series in All Three Districts

The Virgin Islands Board of Education (VIBE) will hold a series of three community town hall meetings this month, giving residents territory-wide the opportunity to learn more about the Board’s work and to engage directly with its members.

 

Each meeting is free and open to the public. The schedule is as follows:

  • St. John District — Thursday, August 27, 2026, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Julius E. Sprauve School, Cruz Bay
  • St. Thomas District — Friday, August 28, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Charlotte Amalie High School
  • St. Croix District — Thursday, September 3, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., St. Croix Educational Complex, Kingshill

Note that Doors open 15 minutes before each meeting begins.

 

At each meeting, Board members will cover:

  •  The role and responsibilities of the Board of Education
  • Board policies and how the public can access them
  • The 2026 School Management and Accountability Report
  • New developments in educator certification

 

Community members with questions for the Board may submit them in writing on a question card, available at each meeting; the Board will review submitted questions and respond during the meeting.
